TASTER COURSES
We have developed a series of short courses to whet the appetite of every budding musician.
Designed as an introduction to music, taster courses are a great way to “have a go” and learn the basics.
With eight courses to choose from, you can enrol to one or more or use these as a stepping stone to further your musical learning.
Depending on the course chosen, commitment is between 30 – 60 minutes a week for a period of 4 or 6 weeks. We guarantee you’ll have a wonderful experience – numbers are capped to a maximum of 6 people which means our expert tutors can focus on small group learning.
COMPOSING
By the end of this course you will have a good understanding of how to generate ideas and find existing compositions linked to those ideas.
CONDUCTING
By the end of this course you will have a good understanding of how to generate ideas and find existing compositions linked to those ideas.
FIFE
By the end of this course you will have a good understanding of how to generate ideas and find existing compositions linked to those ideas.
FLUTE
Learn how to produce sound on the flute and play a clear and consistent tone by practicing holding long notes.
GUITAR
Learn how to play along to your favourite tracks and develop an understanding of how to read and play using tablature notation.
TREBLE RECORDER
Get acquainted with the most important instrument of the recorder family. When perfected, the recorder is a joy to play.
SINGING
Focusing on basic breathing techniques and range, develop your voice with confidence.
UKULELE
Explore how to play chords, read melodies and tabulate. From the very first lesson, you will be able to make music.
