At Music House, our volunteers are at the very heart of everything we do, and this month we’d like to shine a spotlight on two people whose generosity and practical skills have helped transform our performance space.
A huge thank you goes to Helen and Rob, who recently gave up their time to help create a dedicated performance area for Music House musicians, choirs and performers.
Helen, who leads our much-loved Voices Choir, spent hours sewing beautiful new curtains for the space. To complete the project, fellow volunteer Rob came in to fit and drill the curtain poles, ensuring everything was safely and professionally installed.
Together, their efforts have helped create a welcoming performance area that showcases the incredible talent, confidence and creativity that flourishes throughout the Music House community.
It’s amazing what can be achieved when people come together and share their time, skills and enthusiasm.
The contribution made by Helen and Rob is also a reminder that volunteering comes in many forms. While some volunteers support performances, workshops and events, others help behind the scenes with practical tasks that make a huge difference to the day-to-day running of Music House.
Like many community organisations, Music House relies on the generosity of volunteers. Their support helps us create opportunities, nurture talent and provide welcoming spaces where people can learn, perform, connect and grow through music. The importance of volunteers and community support is reflected throughout Music House activities and communications.
We simply couldn’t do what we do without them.
If you’ve ever considered volunteering with Music House, we’d love to hear from you. Every skill is valuable, every hour helps and every volunteer plays a part in making Music House the special place it is.
Thank you, Helen and Rob, for helping bring our performance space to life. Your kindness, teamwork and community spirit embody everything that makes Music House such a special place.
